Subsidiary of Applied Sciences
Pyrograf® Products, Inc. is a subsidiary of Applied Sciences,
Inc. and was incorporated into the ASI family in 1996. PPI currently
operates a modern 70,000-lb/yr facility in Cedarville, Ohio. PPI
Produces Pyrograf-III, a versatile vapor grown carbon nanofiber.
Pyrograf-III has a wide range of applications. The Pyrograf-III pilot
plant is housed inside a 22,200 ft2 facility.
The on-site equipment consists of apparatus to meter the feed gasses, to
manufacture and process nanofiber, and to handle the gaseous effluent.
Efforts are underway to double production capacity. Plans for building
a 3-5 million pound per year production plant at this location are under
development.
